Life from Death

A small bird makes its nest in the eye of a skull.

Unfortunately this painting is sold. It’s one of the few paintings I regret selling. It’s still one of my favorites after all these Years. It’s on my list of paintings to recreate.

To make this painting I digitally collaged several photos together as reference. I then sketched the image onto canvas and painted it with acrylic paint.
