Part of the Eye Series. With this painting I struggled with the anxiety of my artwork being Cliche and meaningless. In art school we were taught that all art needed to have some deep meaning behind it and you were not a good artist if you made art that was pretty just to be pretty.

I still struggle with that limiting belief along with feelings of imposter syndrome. Can I really call myself an artist? There are some days that question is hard for me to answer.
